Dog Dayz at Scott Carpenter Pool

Scott Carpenter Pool turns into an aquatic dog park for two weeks in August. The pool closes for human usage and we open up the water for dogs to enjoy.

The Dog Dayz event has been running strong for nearly a decade and saw close to 2,000 dogs come through the gate last year. It is a great way to spend a warm August afternoon with your best friend — your dog (or dogs) will be grateful for the chance to cool off and play with others.

Our Saturday sessions double as Dog Expos. Pet friendly companies from around the county will be on-site with information and fun give-aways.

So, come join us in August and be a part of the best dog friendly event around!

To find out more about ALL that CRCG offers please go to their website :   www.dog-swim.com

I want to talk about their regulation Dock Dog Pool. It is WAY COOL !  My Golden Retrievers had a BLAST ! The younger one was jumping off the side of the pool after toys, Now I need to get her to jump off the higher part. I think she’s a natural and will LOVE it when she learns how.

City Bark invites you and your dogs to a fundraiser for Golden Retriever Rescue of the Rockies and Safe Harbor Lab Rescue.
Friday, June 11, 6:30-8:30 PM at City Bark in Denver.

Golden Retriever Rescue of the Rockies ( GRRR )

http://www.goldenrescue.com/index.html

About GRRR

Golden Retriever Rescue of the Rockies (GRRR) is an all-volunteer non-profit 501(c)(3) organization that helps place unwanted, abandoned or surrendered Golden Retrievers into loving forever homes. GRRR was founded in 1996 by Laura Terroux and has experienced continued organizational growth while working toward the goal of caring for our breed. GRRR re-homes approximately 300 Golden Retrievers annually.

GRRR can assist you if you currently own a Golden Retriever that you, for any reason, are unable to keep. After evaluation, surrendered Goldens will be taken in by GRRR and provided with the appropriate veterinary care consisting of vaccination updates, spaying or neutering and a general health exam. They are then placed into a loving foster home while our volunteers work to match them with new families. Please click here to surrender a Golden.

GRRR can assist you if you are looking to add a special Golden to your family. GRRR volunteers will help you find the most suitable rescue Golden for your family based on your lifestyle needs and environment. Please click here for our adoption application.

All of our Goldens are in foster homes throughout metro Denver.  GRRR does not have a facilty (shelter) to visit to meet available Goldens.  All visits are by appointment only, after an application has been submitted and evaluated for a possible match.

Volunteering

Our wonderful volunteers think volunteering for Golden Retriever Rescue of the Rockies is very rewarding. We need help in the following areas:

  • Foster homes
  • Transporting Goldens from shelters to a foster home or to medical appointments,
  • Helping with selling merchandise at our Annual Picnic, Spring Fling, or other events,
  • Conducting home visits with prospective fosters or adopters,
  • Visiting and walking dogs being boarded,
  • Other activities such as administrative work, graphic design, grant writing—any special talent is welcomed!
  • Consider fostering in memory of your Golden who recently passed on. Your fostering will be saving the life of another Golden. Without foster homes, we would not be able to rescue the numbers of Goldens that are in need of a new home.

Their services include Doggie day care, Overnight boarding, Pet supplies, Self wash tubs, Doggie park, Doggie and kitty grooming, Behavior modification training, Live doggie cam viewing, Easy access to I-25, Trained and professional staff

Doggie Day Care – They have five separate climate controlled indoor play areas for your dog’s enjoyment, in addition to a large outdoor dog park featuring a swimming pool, hills, tunnels, and plenty of room to run and play fetch.

Each dog also receives a mid-day snack and nap in one of thier overnight kennels. They give their daycare dogs a short nap because many of them find it difficult to take a nap in play group when they are tired because they don’t want to miss out on all the fun.

They have web cams at all of their locations, so not only will they be supervising your dog, but you can also watch your dog play.

All day care dogs are required to come in for an interview prior to their first day with them, have proof of vaccinations, and enjoy playing with other dogs. They do interviews between 10:00 AM & 3:00 PM Monday through Saturday

All breeds and sizes of dogs LOVE the pool at City Bark / Denver

I have to say that the BEST part about City Bark/ Denver is THE STAFF. It is what sets them apart from ALL the other Doggie Daycare Facilities. They KNOW dog behavior. My dogs RUN in each time I bring them without looking back at me. This is a place they LOVE to be.
